Brian I remember my grandmother saying if you live long enough you'll see it again. I thought I recognized the plan Cheney had done. Strom Thurmond would be proud as he tried to get the South to Raise again but it was Dick Cheney who completed the mission. I guess Rosa Parks is an afterthought now.
So many good people died for the rights given freely to other Americans. I taught my children not to take their freedom for granted. Now my daughter serving in the US military has to accept the fact that she has no freedom but is trying to get those freedoms for Iraq. With Cheney's plan in place the Supreme Court will dismantle Woman's Rights and Voting Rights next. Leaving a clear path for Karl Roves one party system. It's amazing how Americans were in fear of terrorist and being attacked again, while the Bush Administration was busy destroying our country from within. Brian I remember the past horrors and I'm grateful I got to live in my country for almost 45 years with the freedoms those before didn't see. I know the current young generations wont stand for the Cheney plan, most don't know about our hateful past unless their taught. Silly my daughter thought Watergate was just in the movie Forrest Gump. John F. Kennedy pushed for equal rights and what's strange is the current leadership call themselves the Religious Right, family values and morals yet everything they do is the opposite from God's teachings. I feel bad for our soldiers and military families who gave their lives for the US only to see this country never valued them at all. I don't know if I'll see the greatness of this once country that lead the world in Democracy. But no American can blame any one but themselves for sitting back and doing nothing as the enemy invaded from within and was an American.
