Janet, I remember when you were back on Channel 8 in Grand Rapids. When I heard Brian Williams mention your name a few months ago it was a pleasant blast from the past. You were an excellent reporter then and are even better now. Keep up the good work.

I believe Louisiana Road Home is trying to take my home and land away from me. I am in Atlanta and I was told by the Poydras St Center Director in New Orleans to send a family, friend or someone to represent me for my Road Home interview-December 6,2006. I did. The Road Home Representative Nikki had my representative to complete an income form for,yes, my representative who does not have anything to do with my home. Now, I do not qualify for the Loan. I went to the Mobile Unit when the Road Home came to Atlanta. They took my picture and income info and later my appraisal value for my home decreased. I am still unemployed as a result of my displacement and now I do not qualify for nothing more than 19 thousand dollars for a home that was valued 180 thousand dollars. I have to go thru the Historic District Landmark Commission to get a permit to rebuild and they along with the Historic Preservation Recovery Grant Program would not help with funding. I believe the City and State want to take my home. And State Farm still does not want to pay me. May God help us.

Are you aware that this blog is shown on the MSNBC front paged as VLOG? I've sen it for weeks and thought someone would correct it or is it an intentional misspelled word?
