My error. Ms Lynch did say the version of her capture as told by the Pentagon was not accurate before today's hearing.

They made a TV movie about her capture based on what the Pentagon said happened.

Yet after interviews with Ms Lynch where she told the accurate version of the battle NOT ONE major news media outlet came out and directly questioned the Pentagon, the White House or Don Rumsfeld about the difference between the two stories and put the story as part of the lead, front page headline, breaking news story.

Why?

I see Dick Cheney is coming unglued at the thought of Congress bringing his profitable little war to an end. Since his Halliburton stock options have increased more than 3800% since he engineered the invasion and "rebuilding" of Iraq, he can't imagine that the public does not agree that the war is a good thing.

I think both Bush and Cheney need to get out of the bubble and talk to the general public once in a while, especially since they seem to have forgotten that the public overwhelmingly rejected their agenda in the 2006 election. Would do us all some good.

You can't have a war without heroes. Heroes makes the public feel good about the war and what we are doing there is right and celebrate our actions. It is also good to entice more people to join the military ranks.

Too bad the Pentagon had to manufacture their heroes at the expense of Tillman and Lynch.

Was Lynch ordered to back up the official Pentagon story they released to the public and not tell the truth?
