Why all the attention about Lisa Nowak? On the morning shows experts said that this was not the norm. It was like they were trying to calm the fears of the public, a highly educated working professional snapping is very unusual.

Yeah, right. If you take time to look around you'll see homeless people who also snapped. Educated? Working professional? Maybe. You don't know until you stop and ask. But you don't want to know.

All this attention to Nowak is because she could be you, someone you can relate to, someone who had it all and in a moment lost it.

On the social status ladder I'm closer to the homeless than the upper middle class. Many of the homeless aren't under-educated or under motivated or drug users. They were once you but they stumbled.

If society paid more attention to the poor and homeless then when someone like Nowak comes along working affordable treatments will be available.
