TRACKBACKS
I hear that the pink slips are coming mid week to the news division.
You and the Today show are number one in the ratings yet you're not immune to the pinks. I can see it if you, the news, were last, but number one? What are the number crunchers thinking?
You cut out the people who made you number one and kept you in the number one position for years on end and nothing good will come of it.
All of you, stay in there and fight.
I do have to be selfish at this time though.
Brian, I invite you and your news family into my home every evening. Your faces spend more time in my living room each week than my friends or visiting family members. I don't want any of you to go away.
Rob (I'm rooting for you), please let us know what's happening on the Daily before we read about it in some gossip page.

Brian,
Your report from Walter Reed Hospital tonight was extremely well-done. The compassion you felt for the injured sevicemen and women clearly showed through.
I was touched by the story. The coverage you provided was sensitive and thoughful. Thanks, as always, for your intelligent, caring reporting, which occurs every night on Nightly News.
I was also very impressed with Ann Curry's report from Darfur. She provided an insight to the difficult, frightening life of the innocent people caught in the violence. The mother worried about her sick children broke my heart.
Ann Curry did a wonderful job with her report. She is very courageous to be in such a dangerous place. Brian, once again, your compassion for the people profiled, as well as your colleague, Ann Curry, showed clearly. When you told Ann as she concluded her coverage, that her NBC colleagues are proud of her, and that she should stay safe, I felt the family closeness that I know is part of the NBC Nightly News family. I know this firsthand from my daughter, who has worked with you, and Ann Curry, on Nightly. Thank you for your superb show, and professionalism. NBC Nightly News shines on a daily basis with their anchorman, and reporters.
