It just showes that Americans are not held responsible for there actions. Any time that a Politician gets in trouble all they have to do is check themselves into a Rehab program and everything seems to be ok because they have a problem and they are know going to get help. So are they saying that they didnt know they had a problem before this all came out? Then why would we elect them to speak for the people of America! So are we saying that politicians dont know right from wrong in there own lives? But we trust them to represent the American people.

The Foley scandal is a disgrace and the Republican party should be held accountable.Hastert was told about it and did nothing? He claims he didn't recall the matter. Are you kidding me?He's told a congressman is stalking children via the internet and an alarm doesn't go off? Then you have Boehner and Reynolds covering their butts by saying they told Hastert and thought it was taken care of.What, no follow up?Protecting children seems to be a low priority for these guys.If that's not bad enough,Hastert and the right are saying that this is election politics. Are they suggesting that this shouldn't be brought up until after the elections?Enough is enough!!Voters need to give all these jokers the boot.Their names and the word "leadership" should not be used in the same sentence. It's an outrage.

I think the amount of commercials is one reason that network news viewership is falling. Out of a 30 minute program you seem to have about 10 minutes of commercials. Given another 10 minutes for the fluff pieces, you only have about 10 minutes of real news reporting. Even John Cameron Swayze's fifteen-minute Camel News Caravan in the 1950s had more real news than that.

I am shocked and disgusted with what I have read about Rep. Mark Foley's obscene emails and conduct with Capitol Hill pages! Even more disgusted knowing that he was chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus!!
It is even more shameful that the House Republican leaders knew about this criminal behavior for at least one year and possibly more, and they did nothing! They should be thrown out of their jobs too.
I think that the Republican Party needs to stop running on Family Values because they have none! I am an Independent voter. I know there are some good Republicans out there and some bad Democrats, however; until the Republican Party can clean out their party of crooks and predators, they will not get my vote.
Please America get out their and vote on November 7th, our children deserve better than this.

Mark Foley - checks into rehab because he thinks he drinks too much which causes him to send "overly friendly" messages to teenage boys. He thinks rehab will solve all his problems. If it works next we'll have Michael Jackson checking into rehab for drinking too much "Jesus juice" and he can also blame his liking little boys on alcohol.
Why do all these people think that going into alcohol rehab for a few weeks/months will solve all their problem? Sitting around in a spa with hot tubs and saunas, eating gourmet food and listening to people talk about the evils of alcohol won't resolve the underlying problem.
At least Foley isn't being sent to another parish.

You mentioned about posting a possible transcript from the interview with Elizabeth Edwards. Is that still to come?

I was amazed that Saturday Night Live completely failed to do the
obvious comedy bit based on Dateline NBC's "To Catch a Predator" only having a Congressman show up. How could they miss such
slam dunk bit?
Will NBC be as agressive in investigating Congressional internet predators as they are in getting all these other guys?
I doubt it.
