The pope has nothing to apologize for. I am tired of the Muslims thinking they are owed an apology every time they feel offended. I don't see them rioting or complaining about the Radical Muslims that kill innocent people and behead captured or kidnapped people.

It's ironic, isn't it? The Pope discusses the perception of Islam as being a violent religion, and what does the Islam world do in reaction? Burn churches and threaten violence.

The militant Islamic population looks for any excuse to take action against any group they feel insults their religion. What they fail to recognize is that they're more guilty of verbal religious criticisms than any other group and they make their ill feelings known by bombing churches and synagogues, forcing conversions and beheading those who don't share their beliefs. When was the last time a Catholic or Jewish organization bombed a mosque? The Pope had nothing to apologize about, he was simply reading a quote that clearly was not from his point of view. I think it's time that the so called "peaceful" Islamic population speak up and denounce the violence and havoc that their militant brothers are spreading all over the world.

I am one of many silent Americans but the threats made to MY Pope are the last straw. Why does the rest of the world have to cow down to these extremist? I think the Pope's remarks hit the nail on the head. I dare say that if anything happens to our Pope because of these fanatics then they will find out what a REAL holy war is all about.

What's the problem? It usually takes centuries, even milleniums for a Pope to apologize! Muslims got a "regret" in 24 hours! Wow!
