We were very dismayed by NBC's lack of news coverage
on Friday , Sept. 29th, with regard to the Senate collapse/vote to change the United States' interpertation of not only the Geneva Convention standards for detainees, writ of habeas corpus but also our new interpertation of our own Constitution.(Chipping away at our basic rights)
Is there any doubt that this is news worthy?
You dropped the ball.

Brian Williams is the best in the news. One request, could you ease up on the tease lead ins, after the third one, I am ready to change to another channel.

Olivia --

Sharp eye! I made a mistake and used yesterday's vlog template for today. So the three comments at the bottom of this thread are indeed from Thursday. Sorry about that. Rather than delete them, I'll just let them be and do it right next week.

Thanks!

This is intriguing--this is today's post, but yesterday's comments are still posted.

Musharraf's book sounds like it would be informative, especially the part about the Richard Armitage quote about bombing Pakistan "back into the Stone Age." Naturally the Bush Administration would have to deny something so embarrassing. I think, however, that if we had the sort of intelligence that was 100% sure that Bin Laden was in Pakistan, we should go after him whether or not Pakistan wants us to--all's fair in the War on Terrorism.

Christine --

Brian reads all comments submitted to this blog, so if you have something related to the broadcast or the news to share, please send in your comment on a relevant post.

He also reads e-mails sent to nightly@nbc.com, so feel free to contact him there.

Can you please tell me how I can write an essay to Brian Williams? I am not interested in publicity, fame or anything else. I am just one mad American with a gutful of things to say and don't know where to go. Thanks for anything you can do.

TO: Brian Williams I see that Tower Records is going out of business and I hope that you will mention this on your national report; Tower was a large part of growing up in the 1960's and 1970's for millions of Americans. Also, I think your newscast is the best evening news source ! I cannot believe the comments others send into your blog ; I hadnt realized so many americans have become such self centered ,nihilists ! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion ,but thats what they are folks ...opinions ! They are not cast in gold and no, the world does not revolve around you just because you are an American with an opinion! keep up the great work Brian !
