I am not a citizen of this country and I live in Panorama City. I live in an apartment full of hispanics and they pee on the public washing machine, drink beer outside and throw empty cans on the sidewalk. They're acting up like they are in Mexico and the US government should deport all these illegals. In few years time Los Angeles is going to be little Mexico where law is no longer respected.

This situation is pathetic. The handwriting is on the walls, literally in graffiti. I am a one issue voter, period. Who in their right mind would not want to regulate who comes into our country?

Enough with being called racists because we won't open the border. This county is in a downward spiral into third world territory, all at the expense of the taxpaying citizens.

I've been a busboy, mowed lawns and worked in construction. I left my last job because I was required to take a pay cut of twenty-five percent so our company could compete with a competitor who hired illegals. And no, working at Jack-n-the Box is not supposed to be a career. It used to be a job students and others would take during transitional periods in their lives. How hard is it to train someone to work the deep fryer anyway?

As far as they 'pay their fair share' baloney, think about this one, and only one issue:

If the state gives school districts $6,000 to $7,000 per student per year, there is no way an 'illegal' contributes anywhere close to that amount to the state. And that is for ONE child. Keep in mind most of this money comes from property taxes, and with multiple families living in a single dwelling....do the math. The schools are in horrible shape and getting worse by the day.

The day before the big 'anti illegal' rallies on May 1st, my wife and I went to a movie at our local mall, only to be harassed and intimidated by a group of five 'Hispanics' waving the mexican flag.

We are legal immigrants. All Americans are legal immigrants ! The reason America is America is because we have laws and systems - not perfect but then everything is relative in this world isnt it ? Why whould be bend the laws for some? So a few politicians can bend the votes or get an additional vote bank? I speak English but increasingly it appears that we are going to be forced to learn Spanish! My daughter spent almost 15 years in college and residency to become a doctor and last week she was turned down a job prospect because she did not speak Spanish!

Given what's being done to us financially (outsourcing & deficits), the curtailing of our civil liberties (wiretaps), and now the final installment of the selling out of working americans by importing a new labor base, I have no faith in a government by and for the rich people. On the Eastern Shore of MD & DE there are many hardworking immigrants from Mexico. One instance which I have been made aware of by a relative of this immigrant shows what can happen when our US gov't ( Barbara McCaulski) in this case gets involved
in bringing an immigrant into this county. The man in question was here illegically and was married to an American and had 2 American born children. He was accused of a sexual crime and was deported. The INS told him they always knew where he was but were told not to bother him unless a crime was commited. After he was deported, his American family began working with the US gov't to bring him back legally. Eventually, with Sen. Mccaulski's help, he was given a new last name, a new social security # and is now back in the US legally. He may not have been guilty of the crime but by letting him back in with a new SS#, his debts were wiped out. I am told he had bought a van ( which he still owed on in the US-took it to Mexico and sold it there. Don't tell me that illegal immigrants using phoney SS#'s don't cost us anything.

Neither the Reps. nor the Dems. will get any of my hard earned monies for their campaign war chests ever again. Mine is goin to a deserving 3rd party. Get one going guys and make it a real conservative organization, since we don't have one now.

The sad part is that our Republican "leadership" doesn't understand that if they don't get this bill done before the November election, it will never get done! If the Dems take the House in November, the boarders will continue to have holes in it like Swiss cheese. Furthermore, they would love to give illegals amnesty because they'll have another voting block to secure their future in Washington.

It's like a catch 22. Bite the bullet and adobt the House version and maybe get booted out in November or don't, and give them citizenship while giving the Dems another voting base.

Illegal immigrants are notorious for using bogus social security numbers on work forms, and claiming they have 4, 5, or 6 dependents that in reality do not exist. Most do not pay for health care, but have no problem going to an emergency room to receive care for a common cold. Many do not carry auto insurance, who picks up the tab when they cause an accident? Tax payers & legal immigrants alike are tired of picking up the tab.
