Carl:
I looked forward to reading your blogs every day last week and believe like A.C. Mendiones, that you and Martin deserve an Emmy for your reporting. Outstanding job and seeing how the folks are doing after the devastation makes us realize that each day is precious and no one is guaranteed tomorrow.
The company I work for has collected a lot of money for the Katrina victims and we will also be doing a collection at our Christmas party this year.
Thanks so much for all your hard work and great reporting!

It was such a pleasure to read your blogs during your week's journey from Texas to New Orleans, Carl; and, it was also nice to get to know you a little better through your writings. You and your crew did an awesome job of bringing your daily reports to the Nightly News from Cajun Country (some of the nicest, sweetest people on the planet). You did a marvelous job of showing how the folks in that area of the country are keeping their heads and spirits high in face of such tragedy.
I also enjoyed reading your list of "After the Storm" CD's ... after reading your blogs all week and discovering what a well-rounded reporter you are, somehow it doesn't surprise me at all to see that you have such a wonderful, eclectic taste in music.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of your reports from the area, and reading more of your blogs (which, I hope, will include more lists of the CD's you're listing to at the moment). Thanks to you and your crew for all your hard work.

Thanks for the music suggestions; some I know, others I'll check out.

Yup; I must be a young'n to not recognize those tunes in my mind, though I recognize the names! Maybe you ought to have the record companies compile those songs onto a CD and sell it for relief funds? Sort of like they did after 9/11....

Carl,
What is local radio doing/saying in the areas you've been?
Thanks to you and your team (and Team Martin) who deserve a couple of Emmys for your work this week!
